GoDaddy Email email configuration guide
GoDaddy Email: Mail receiving disabled
Find a provider-side disabled route or a public MX set that intentionally rejects mail. Start with the exact domain, subdomain, and provider account that owns the route.
A provider configuration symptom may look like:
Mail receiving disabled after a provider configuration change.
Check account and DNS separately
An active mailbox with wrong MX cannot receive mail, and correct MX cannot restore a deleted or expired mailbox.
- Confirm that the user is present and active in the Email and Office Dashboard.
- Use Set Mail Destination to obtain the account’s expected MX records.
- Compare them with public DNS and remove an accidental Null MX.
- Sign in to webmail to separate server delivery from a mail-client problem.
- Use Recheck DNS after corrections are public.
MailFixIt checks public MX. It cannot reactivate a GoDaddy subscription or mailbox.
Frequently asked questions
What does MailFixIt check for GoDaddy Email?
It helps compare public DNS evidence with the provider setup path. It does not access the provider account or claim that a DNS result alone proves sending or receiving.
Should I replace all existing DNS records with provider values?
No. Confirm the exact record owner and type, preserve unrelated legitimate services, and change only the record required for the intended mail route.
