GoDaddy Email: Where to edit DNS
Identify the authoritative DNS host rather than assuming the registrar is the editor. Start with the exact domain, subdomain, and provider account that owns the route.

Find the DNS editor
The registrar and DNS host can be different companies. Check the domain’s authoritative nameservers; their operator is normally where MX, TXT, and CNAME records must be edited.
- Find the authoritative nameservers.
- Sign in to the DNS service that owns them.
- Compare the live zone with GoDaddy’s Set Mail Destination values.
- Do not edit a parked or inactive zone at the registrar.
MailFixIt can identify public nameservers and records. It cannot sign in to the DNS account without access you grant.
Frequently asked questions
What does MailFixIt check for GoDaddy Email?
It helps compare public DNS evidence with the provider setup path. It does not access the provider account or claim that a DNS result alone proves sending or receiving.
Should I replace all existing DNS records with provider values?
No. Confirm the exact record owner and type, preserve unrelated legitimate services, and change only the record required for the intended mail route.
