GoDaddy Email: DMARC aggregate reports

Verify reporting destinations and external authorization requirements. Start with the exact domain, subdomain, and provider account that owns the route.

Problem description

A provider configuration symptom may look like:

DMARC aggregate reports after a provider configuration change.

Check the reporting address

The rua= address receives aggregate XML reports. Make sure the mailbox or reporting service exists and can process them. Reports are sent by participating receivers, not by GoDaddy.

If reports do not arrive

  1. Confirm that rua= contains a valid mailto: URI.
  2. If the destination uses another domain, publish the required external-report authorization record there.
  3. Check spam filtering and the reporting service account.
  4. Allow time for receivers that send daily aggregates.

MailFixIt can validate the policy and external authorization. It cannot force receivers to send reports or inspect the reporting mailbox.

Frequently asked questions

What does MailFixIt check for GoDaddy Email?

It helps compare public DNS evidence with the provider setup path. It does not access the provider account or claim that a DNS result alone proves sending or receiving.

Should I replace all existing DNS records with provider values?

No. Confirm the exact record owner and type, preserve unrelated legitimate services, and change only the record required for the intended mail route.
