GoDaddy Email email configuration guide
GoDaddy Professional Email: DMARC alignment failed
DMARC passes when either passing SPF or passing DKIM aligns with the visible From domain. A valid but unrelated provider identity is not enough.
A provider configuration symptom may look like:
DMARC alignment after a provider configuration change.
Compare the identities
From the same message, record the visible From domain, SPF MAIL FROM domain, DKIM d= domain, and each result in Authentication-Results.
How to fix it
- Make sure GoDaddy DKIM passes for your domain, using both supplied CNAMEs.
- Confirm that the message uses the intended visible From address.
- Do not add arbitrary IPs to SPF when DKIM already provides the aligned path.
- Send a new message and confirm
dmarc=pass.
MailFixIt boundary
MailFixIt can compare supplied header identities and public DNS. It does not independently verify the original signature.
Frequently asked questions
What does MailFixIt check for GoDaddy Email?
It helps compare public DNS evidence with the provider setup path. It does not access the provider account or claim that a DNS result alone proves sending or receiving.
Should I replace all existing DNS records with provider values?
No. Confirm the exact record owner and type, preserve unrelated legitimate services, and change only the record required for the intended mail route.
