GoDaddy Professional Email: Add the two DKIM CNAME records
GoDaddy provides two account-specific DKIM CNAME records. Publish both exactly as shown; do not invent selectors or copy values from another domain.
A provider configuration symptom may look like:
DKIM CNAME setup after a provider configuration change.
Get the two CNAME records
Open the domain’s Professional Email setup in the Email and Office Dashboard. GoDaddy shows two DKIM records; both have a selector in the host name and dkim in the target.
Evidence to collect
- Copy both CNAME host names and targets exactly.
- Enter only the host portion your DNS provider expects; avoid duplicating the domain suffix.
- Keep proxying disabled for mail authentication records.
- Check each complete selector name in public DNS.
Safe correction sequence
Fix only a missing or mismatched CNAME. Do not publish TXT keys at the same selector names unless GoDaddy explicitly gives TXT records for this product. After both CNAMEs resolve, rerun verification and send a new message to confirm dkim=pass.
MailFixIt boundary
MailFixIt can inspect a selector you provide. It cannot retrieve private GoDaddy values or prove that signing is enabled without a message header.
Frequently asked questions
What does MailFixIt check for GoDaddy Email?
It helps compare public DNS evidence with the provider setup path. It does not access the provider account or claim that a DNS result alone proves sending or receiving.
Should I replace all existing DNS records with provider values?
No. Confirm the exact record owner and type, preserve unrelated legitimate services, and change only the record required for the intended mail route.
